The solar system is largest on Cape Cod to date
Thursday’s ribbon-cutting ceremony of the new 58 kW solar panel system at Osterville’s Oyster Harbors Marine went well. U.S. Rep. Bill Delahunt, State Rep. Demetrius Atsalis and Barnstable Assistant Town Manager Tom Lynch joined brothers Floyd and Ron Silvia, the Scudder family, and others in celebration of the completion of the system.
The 276 panels on the south-facing roof of the new Silvia & Silvia-built 20,000 square foot marina facility were installed by Nexamp, Inc, a North Andover based clean energy solutions company. The panels will produce about 58kW of power — enough to power 7 households.
